April, 2023 Newsletter

Hello Members, Happy Spring!

So many things to talk about!

First, our church has new and wonderful changes coming and in light of these changes and to allow for our workers to meet and organize, we are going to be taking a break through the summer months so you can enjoy your summer and we can work on our new plans for the church! The last service will be April 30th. Services will be held as normal throughout April.

As we don’t want to lose touch with our valued members, we will be hosting gatherings through the summer at different parks and other venues! We look forward to seeing you and hearing how your summer is going!

Our member’s privacy is always our first concern and because of this, we are asking each of you to let us know your preferences for communication from us.

We are asking you to reply to this newsletter which will also be in paper form at church, to let us know how best to stay in touch with you!

  1. Through emails

  2. Through text messages

  3. Through phone calls

  4. Are you comfortable with your contact information being shared with other members of our church?

Please either reply to this email with your preferences or fill out a paper copy at church and give it to Susan. We appreciate your letting us know!

Our annual Member’s Meeting will be June 11th, at 12:30 pm. You can attend in person or through electronic device. There will be an email sent out toward the end of May with information on how to join, who is running for elections, and bylaw changes we will be voting on.

All seven positions are open for election at this meeting! These include President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and three Trustee positions. There is a description for each position in fellowship hall or you can ask Susan!

To qualify for becoming a nominee, you must be a member in good standing which means at least a one-year membership and annual dues of $30 paid. You can pay through the Donate button on our website, by mail, or in person at church.

All nominees who wish to be considered for a board position must let our Nominating Chairperson, Rev. Debbie Malison, know by April 23rd.

You can contact her through email at fscwachurch@gmail.com or lynn.lynne22@gmail.com.

Our church’s bylaws support voting by electronic email, written mail, or in person. Electronic and postal mail voting opens April 24th and ends June 4th. If you are unable to attend our June meeting, please email or mail your vote to us! Every vote is important!

Thank you and see you soon!

Treasurer, Karen Francisco
